Barrow Market
Barrow Market has a long-standing reputation for excellent choice, value for money and great customer service.
Well established in the heart of the town centre, the market has moved into a fantastic temporary home while the Market Hall – officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on June 10, 1971 – is closed as part of multi-million pound plans to rejuvenate Barrow town centre.
The specially-designed temporary market in the Mall and former Meat Hall - next to the Market Hall and with easy access from the town centre - is working well. The traders moved in last summer and there is a fantastic buzz about the place.
Monthly markets with guest traders and attractions were a great hit with customers last year and they are continuing this year on the first Friday of the month. The market is open every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am until 5pm.
